João Magalhães is a Medical Doctor and an experienced entrepreneur, with a dream of creating sofware that saves lives.
João has a Masters degree in medicine with a thesis on electronic health records interoperability. During his medical years, he was a teaching assistant for biostatistics and medical informatics and currently has been invited to lecture in Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto (FMUP) for both medical and medical informatics students. He has been programming since a young age and working with many clients as a freelancer while taking the medical degree.
Before being a co-founder & CTO of knok healthcare, João had founded two other successful healthcare startups, so he has a deep inside-out understanding of the technological barriers and opportunities in medicine.
